T40W & T60M Series | Baking Dry Cabinets
The T40W and T60M Baking Cabinets are dual purpose Dry Cabinets can be used as standard Humidity Controlled Storage Cabinets or as 40°C – 60°C Baking Cabinets. Built to maintain an internal environment of <5%RH to <1%RH, and can bake components in a 40℃ or 60℃ environment. Baking is used to “reverse the clock” on stored parts and components by removing stored moisture.
Designed to store, protect and renew moisture sensitive devices (MSD), the T40W & T60M Series eliminates the oxidation of stored parts and removes stored moisture. Particularly useful in high tech manufacturing for storing SMT components, component reels, surface mount devices (SMD), electronic components, printed circuit boards (PCB) or precision metal parts. They can also protect and remove moisture from miniature devices, pharmaceutical substance, biotic specimens, battery, crystal, IC package module, optical lens and scientific instruments.
We’ve witnessed a rise in sales at repair facilities as the yields on Ball Grid Array (BGA), Re-balling and Re-work go up dramatically if you bake components prior to removal and re-work. Unlike baking at the traditional 125℃, baking at lower temperatures can lessen the risk of rapid moisture expansion. The lower temperature mitigates the oxidation and the stored parts can then be baked indefinitely. Perhaps for this reason IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033B dictates that you should never bake components or printed circuit boards at 125°C, more than twice in their life time.
All T40W & T60M Dry Cabinets are built to comply with the IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033 standards. Each model features Humidity Manager Software so humidity and temperatures conditions inside the cabinets can be monitored and saved to the software. Coloured graphs are drawn and the data can be used for validating processes and to show compliance to standards. Cabinets are supplied with an anti-static package, adjustable shelves, wheels (except the T40W-200 bench top), locking doors, decimal digital display, countdown calibration reminder, sensors with 2% accuracy.
